How Do I Bid?

Bidding for assets on Wilson Auction & Realty Co., LTD.'s website is extremely user friendly and intuitive. All you need to do is follow these few easy steps:

TYPES OF INTERNET AUCTIONS

• Pre-Bid Auctions:  We allow bidders to bid on real estate online for a set amount of time prior to a live auction.  The winning, high pre-bid will serve as the minimum bid at the on-site auction.  We will contact the winning pre-bidder to see if he/she would like to submit a proxy bid for the on-site sale.  If so, the auctioneer would bid on the pre-bidder's behalf up until the amount of the proxy bid.

• Timed-Online Auctions: We allow bidders to bid on real estate online for a set period of time.  The highest bidder at the end of the time period will win the property.  If two or more bidders are actively bidding in the last 10 minutes of a timed, online auction, the auction closing time will be extended by 10 minutes to allow all bidders the opportunity to bid.  The closing time will be extended indefinitely until there is only one active bidder, simulating a live auction.

• Live, Webcast Auctions: We allow bidders to watch a live webcast of our on-site auctions.  Our webcasts offer real-time audio and video.  Bidders are able to listen to the auctioneer, view the event, and bid remotely on properties from their homes and/or offices.

HOW TO REGISTER TO BID ONLINE

• Register with Wilson Auction & Realty Co., LTD.: Click Register. Complete the registration form. After registering, you will receive an Email stating that your registration application has been submitted to us for Approval. Upon Approval, you will receive a Welcome Email with your Username and Password, which you should retain for your records.

HOW TO BID ONLINE

• Pre-Bid Auctions and Timed-Online Auctions

  • Login to the Wilson Auction & Realty Co., LTD. Website: Click Login.  Enter your User Name and Password and Click Submit.
    

  • Place Bid: To place a bid, view the auction calendar on our Online Auctions Homepage or click the Auctions Tab. In order to view the lot listing for a particular auction, click on the Bid Now Button to the right of the auction listing, which will bring you to a listing of all lots for that sale. For each lot, you may be able to click Place Bid and/or Buy Now.

  • Types of Bids: If you click Place Bid, you can make two types of bids:

    • Incremental Bid: Place the next bid, which is either the starting bid for the lot or the lowest bid available. After bidding on the lot, we will email you a bidding confirmation and will notify you by Email if you are Outbid so that you can bid again. After the auction is over, we will notify you if you have won the lot.

    • Autobid: Enter the maximum price that you are willing to pay for the lot you wish to purchase. As additional buyers bid, our online auction website will automatically enter in bids for you up to the maximum price that you wish to spend. We will also Email you a notification when you are no longer the highest bidder so you can reset your maximum price.

  • Buy Now: If you Click Buy Now, you can purchase the lot immediately for a set price before the auction ends. If you choose to purchase the lot prior to the end of the auction, we will be in touch with you to arrange payment.

• Live Webcast Auctions

  • View Webcast Catalog: View the auction calendar on our Online Auctions Homepage or Click the Auctions Tab. In order to view the lot listing for a particular auction, Click on the Tan Catalog Icon next to the particular auction.

  • Login to Webcast: One hour prior to the webcast, bidders will be allowed to Login to watch the live auction.  To Login, Click the Red Webcast Icon and enter your User Name and Password.  Then, you must read the Auction Terms and Conditions and Click Agree, which will bring you to the live event.
    o Bidding on Properties – To place a bid, you will hear and see the current bid amount and the next amount that the auctioneer is requesting.  If you want to bid, Click the Bid Button, which will submit a bid on your behalf.  If you place a bid, you are entering into a legally binding contract to purchase the lot for that bid amount plus the Buyer's Premium if you are the winner.  If you want to alert the auctioneer that you’re done bidding on a lot, you can Click the I’m Done Button.

  • Live Video/Audio: Live Video and/or Live Audio may be available depending on the sale location.

  • Viewing Photos: If you want to view lot photos, you will see thumbnails in the bottom left-hand corner of the webcast module.  You can Click on the thumbnails to see larger photos.

  • Chat with Auctioneer: If you require assistance during the auction, you can submit questions to the auctioneer with our Chat function at the bottom of the webcast module.

  • View Catalog: If you want to view the auction catalog while watching a live webcast, you can Click the Catalog Button in the bottom right-hand corner of our webcast module.

  • View Your Purchases: If you want to track your purchases during a live webcast, you can Click the My Purchases Button in the bottom right-hand corner of our webcast module.
